3. Service Agreements and Estimates

Estimates

  • All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified
  • Estimates are based on information provided by the customer and initial assessment
  • Final costs may vary based on actual conditions discovered during work
  • Additional work outside the original scope requires separate authorization

Service Agreements

  • All work must be authorized by a signed service agreement or work order
  • Changes to the scope of work must be approved in writing
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason

4. Pricing and Payment Terms

Pricing

  • All prices are subject to change without notice
  • Prices do not include applicable taxes unless specified
  • Emergency service may incur additional charges
  • Travel charges may apply for locations outside our standard service area

Payment

  • Payment terms are specified in each service agreement
  • We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
  • A deposit may be required for large projects
  • Final payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements are made
  • Late payments may be subject to a 1.5% monthly service charge

5. Warranties and Guarantees

Workmanship Warranty

  • We provide a 10-year warranty on installation workmanship
  • Glass repairs are warranted for 2 years
  • Emergency repairs carry a 1-year warranty
  • Warranty covers defects in our workmanship only

Material Warranties

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to all materials and products
  • We will assist with warranty claims but are not responsible for manufacturer defects
  • Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and product

Warranty Limitations

Warranties do not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from accidents, misuse, or natural disasters

  • Failure to perform recommended maintenance

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and required services
  • Ensure safe and reasonable access to work areas
  • Remove or protect personal property in work areas
  • Inform us of hazardous materials or conditions
  • Obtain necessary permits or approvals when required
  • Make timely payments according to agreed terms
  • Notify us immediately of any concerns or issues

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for our services
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not responsible for damage to customer property except when caused by our negligence
  • Customer assumes responsibility for protecting their property during service

8. Insurance and Licensing

LocalWindowFix maintains:

  • Current business license and contractor permits
  • General liability insurance
  • Workers' compensation insurance
  • Bonding as required by local regulations

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customer Cancellation

  • Service appointments may be cancelled with 24-hour notice
  • Deposits may be non-refundable for custom orders
  • Cancellation fees may apply for same-day cancellations

Company Cancellation

  • We reserve the right to cancel services due to weather, safety concerns, or other circumstances
  • We will reschedule cancelled appointments at the earliest opportunity
  • No charges apply for company-initiated cancellations

10. Safety and Compliance

We are committed to safety and compliance:

  • All work follows industry standards and building codes
  • Safety equipment and procedures are used at all times
  • We comply with OSHA and local safety regulations
  • Hazardous materials are handled according to regulations

11. Privacy and Confidentiality

We respect customer privacy and will:

  • Keep customer information confidential
  • Use information only for service delivery and business purposes
  • Follow our Privacy Policy regarding data collection and use
  • Obtain permission before using customer testimonials or photos

12. Dispute Resolution

Communication

We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any concerns or disputes.

Mediation

If direct communication fails to resolve disputes, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.

Jurisdiction
